But when you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in heaven will forgive your sins, too.” Mark 11:15 NLT
My son only gets to play Xbox on the weekends, during the week it’s all about school (he wishes everyday was Friday). On one occasion he was asked to go with his cousin to a volleyball game on a Friday evening so that she didn’t have to go alone. He refused to go and became upset with her for asking. He wanted to stay home and play. As you would guess, he was not allowed to play Xbox that night, not because he didn’t obey the rules but because he wasn’t getting along with family.
It’s Gods desire that when we pray we come with a pure heart. Often, we approach him with unforgiveness against someone else. God’s desire is that we all love and forgives each other. How can we expect God to answer our prayers when we are holding something against someone else He loves?
Who do you need to forgive today? Ask God to give you the strength to do so.
