During a workout or in a difficult season of life, we will all experience pain. In this episode I will discuss how to find pains purpose and how you can respond.
Pain comes from our freedom to choose
Think about a life where we didn’t have a choice
You can make right choices or wrong choices.
Pain helps us in a least 3 ways
1. Pain reveals danger
Image if you tore a muscles, cartilage, or ligaments during a workout and you didn’t feel anything?
When you eat something bad, your stomach is going to tell you.
I have to stay away from dairy and hot chili
2. Pain equips us to help others
3. Pain reveals who we are
How do you respond when things aren’t going your way?
You think your strong, patient, until you get hurt and can’t do anything.
My grace is enough; it’s all you need. My strength comes into its own in your weakness. Once I heard that, I was glad to let it happen. I quit focusing on the handicap and began appreciating the gift. It was a case of Christ’s strength moving in on my weakness. Now I take limitations in stride, and with good cheer, these limitations that cut me down to size—abuse, accidents, opposition, bad breaks. I just let Christ take over! And so the weaker I get, the stronger I become. 2 Corinthians 12:8-10
Anything that drives us to God is a good thing, sometimes that’s pain.
Even though you may not understand it, trust God.
Let pain make you stronger!
