A God you know nothing about

23 for as I was walking along I saw your many shrines. And one of your altars had this inscription on it: ‘To an Unknown God.’ This God, whom you worship without knowing, is the one I’m telling you about. 24 “He is the God who made the world and everything in it. Acts 17:23-24 NLT

While Paul was in Athens he noticed an altar that the Greek’s erected for a God that they knew nothing about. They had other gods, but they didn’t know who it was that created the world in which they live. Paul explained to them that He is the one and only true God who created the heavens and the earth.

So many people in our world today love to travel and see all the wonders of the world. Some love the mountains, hiking, skiing, fishing, and countless other outdoor activities. And who doesn’t love a beautiful sunny day? Unfortunately, not everyone acknowledges who created all that they enjoy.

God, may we remember today to recognize, acknowledge and give thanks to You today for creating and giving us all that we have and enjoy. Amen.
